| Amazing Rock Drill, Still Loud Though Posted: 05 Jul 2011 08:42 AM PDT ROC C1 is a compact rock drill solution for jobs where flexibility and maneuverability are key. It can be folded together and transported in a 10 foot container. Four independently controllable tracks are suitable for any terrain. The articulating arm enables free sideways and upwards motions. With a semi-autonomous solution the operator can work alongside the rig or at a distance. Designer: Erik Borg with Atlas Copco ---------- |
| Posted: 05 Jul 2011 03:11 AM PDT I think the Medical Shower is a brilliant concept. Basically what it does, is it gives you a refreshing herbal bath, thanks to the use of Chinese Herbs in a teabag-esque sachet. Not all of us have the luxury of taking a soak in essential oils and aromatherapies. I have 6 bathrooms in my house but none of it with a bathtub! So this shower is the next best thing I can have for some self-pampering! Love the clever showerhead design too! Kinda like a filter to hold in the herbs. Medical Shower is an IDEA 2011 Winner! | Posted: 05 Jul 2011 12:29 AM PDT “Colorme” is a hypothetical brand created by Ivan Jaddou, which is inspired by the sensory phenomenon of synesthesia and the ambiguity of international color symbolism. The project explores in unconventional methods of prolonging the experience of music, reaching beyond the realms of sound and into colors, emotions, and activities. The Colorme package includes Teardrop Headphones, Colorme iPhone Mobile Application and Balloon Lamp Teardrop Headphones: Touch-screen, color customizing headphones that transform the product into a daily fashion and lifestyle item. Colorme iPhone Mobile Application: A whole new way to explore and generate music based on the user’s color, emotion, and activity inputs. Balloon Lamp: Illuminates colors tagged to the songs being played on your application. This sculptural piece sets a mood in any room using light and color. Designer: Ivan Jaddou ---------- |
| Posted: 05 Jul 2011 12:00 AM PDT I have this keen sense of attaching places with certain smells, especially when I'm on vacations. For example, whenever I wear this Armani perfume of mine, it triggers of memories of my trip to Japan, because I used that fragrance on my trip. Likewise, many people associate different images and sounds with their travels. SEED is like a total recall agent that captures the essence of your travels (sights, sounds and smells) so that you can share them with loved ones. And when you're in your own melancholy trip, re-live your favorite vacation, using this wonderful device. Bring back those fond memories! Basically the unit has three purposes: sharing, remembering & guide. Sharing As a sharing device, you can instantly share your entire environment with family and friends using Sync Experience Service. The balloon-shaped device hovers in the air, capturing an aerial view of the place. Remembering The device features a Total Recall Service that amazingly captures the sights, sounds, smells and the mood of the place it records. Kinda like a 4D service! Guide SEED is a complete tourist guide and can give you a personal tour of your destination. It includes navigation capabilities hence helps you get around the city as well. A very ambitious project but for travel buffs like me, it's something we can do with! Designers: Moonhwan Lee, Nakamura Shohei &YoungWook Jung ---------- |
