| Get More Out Of Your Toothpaste Tube Posted: 15 Jul 2011 01:18 AM PDT Here is another intriguing Toothpaste Packaging design that makes total sense. SavePaste has a three-point agenda: To eliminate the hard-to-squeeze dead space, minimizing toothpaste residue left inside the container; Reduce two packaging to one. It means we can reduce waste and manufacturing price plus encourage recycling. And finally, have a user-friendly design so that people easily adopt it. I think it's a full score on all three fronts! | Posted: 15 Jul 2011 01:09 AM PDT It's amusing to see people challenge death when they ride their bikes without helmets. It's so utterly silly! Nevertheless, an ill-fitting helmet is equally dangerous and so we have a bunch of designers who think they have a solution; Inflatable Helmet Pad! It's a nice cushion protection that makes the helmet more snug fitting and is especially suitable for children. They seldom find the right fit and mostly end up using helmets for grown-ups! | Posted: 15 Jul 2011 12:11 AM PDT I love me some Playstation! Not only does this PS4 concept have a natural and believable aesthetic evolution from the PS3, but it is composed of 60% recyclable materials, making it a much greener choice. It also uses 0 watts in standby mode, and with its ECO Restart function games can be saved, the console turned off, and turned back on to resume exactly where the user left off without the need for a full start up, reducing energy waste and prolonging the life of the unit.Further, the unit will automatically shut off primary power after each 30 minute period of playtime and draw energy from it’s rechargeable battery for 5 minutes. The same feature also assists in preventing data loss during a power outage. The unit connects wirelessly to any DPConnect TV, detecting the appropriate screen resolution as well as identifying the audio output, all in under 4 milliseconds so it’s ready to roll directly after being removed from the box. Other features include: -1.5TB HDD, Full 3D 4K2K compatible, DLNA, DPhdmi (HDMI Connect), 3D Blu-ray (Blu Ray “DEUCE” Compatible, 3 times more data than the classic blu ray disc), USB 3.0, DPConnect Bravia Sync, Qriocity, Sony Ericsson sync, Cloud Saving, live TV, and even applications for weather, widgets, Gamespot, news, and more! | Posted: 15 Jul 2011 12:01 AM PDT Believe it or not, scribbling as a child serves as a very important part of neurological development. It trains the brain to both pay attention and sustain attention, and stimulates the brain to organize shapes and patterns- the first stages of design! Marque is a whimsical furniture collection by designer Joyce Hye Kim inspired by these first scribbles. The contemporary chair, table, and shelf serve as a reminder that even a simple doodle can evolve into something timeless and sophisticated. Designer: Joyce Hye Kim ---------- |
| Age-old Pattern Meets Modern Design Posted: 15 Jul 2011 12:01 AM PDT Appreciating the design in the division of cracked ice, designer Jasper Hou incorporates this distinctly Chinese pattern, often found in lattice designs and window screens, into the structure of the Pane Mirror. I’m a big fan of the the color combinations. Designer: Jasper Hou ---------- |
