| Posted: 28 Jul 2011 08:58 AM PDT Toilet 2.0 is ready for the future, it’s made from corian which makes it thinner, lighter and stronger. The shape is deigned to prevent splashes. It cleans with 8 different points with pressurized jets. This regular cleaning cycle makes it possible to avoid using cleaners that contaminate water systems. There’s also a built-in air freshener. It uses grey water to clean the pipe system behind the walls and clean water for flushing. Designer: Dave Hakkens ----------        |

Posted: 28 Jul 2011 07:54 AM PDT I think the Convenient Battery Pack style of juicing will work best for DIY kits and projects where one is experimenting with Lab projects. I don't see a very commercial everyday use for it. Unless you find it fun to power a huge fan or torchlight using a bunch of these snap-fastener batteries. It's definitely a design exploration exercise in how we can redesign the AA cells and a look into how we can improvise. Designer: Gao Meng ----------     |
| Posted: 28 Jul 2011 07:09 AM PDT The idea behind the Almighty Laundry washing machine is that single men are usually busy executives with laundry as the least of their worries. So much so that it gets ignored most of the time. So what this machine tries to do, is cut down a few steps in the washing process so that you can just load in a rack full of stale, stinky shirts and bring out a lineup of fresh no-ironing needed stack! Amazing idea; separate compartments for the boxer shorts, socks and towels have been considered. What I really like is the unconventional form of the machine; a rectangular closet-style rack that fits in tight spaces. So mister designer, what will your take be for a single woman? The result of an exploration into how intangible entities can be transformed into useful physical objects that represent their likeness, the Shadow series of cutlery and tableware gives the illusion that each object is being lit from above by a single light source. Each “shadow” is actually a separate protective layer between the object and surface that guards against heat and stain. A great conversation piece. The Seaser chair and Teaser stool were specifically designed to minimize effort & physical discomfort while avoiding trend, staying clear of style timelines but maintaining unchanging comfort quality. Upon sitting, the user will find that they are automatically put into an open & extroverted seating position as they are safely embraced by firm armrests.
