Posted: 13 Oct 2011 01:31 AM PDT The Moonshine is inspired by the phases of the moon and can depict the entire lunar process of new moon to the eclipse, in one go. On the face of it is the clock and behind it is a timed lamp that mimics the moonlight from moonrise to moonset. For the star signs influenced by the moon, this looks to be quite a soothing lamp/clock combo to have around. I totally want one! Designers: Yong-min Lee ----------
Posted: 13 Oct 2011 12:50 AM PDT The Intelligent Power Strip has an imposing triptych composition that allows you to place it at any nook. The beauty of the design is that the power cord can be maneuvered to face the direction of the outlet, no matter how you place the strip. It's a very radical new design and I'd love to see how this really works for the room corners. Designer: Herald J. Ureña – Umaña ----------
Posted: 13 Oct 2011 12:01 AM PDT No designer is complete without a set of classic Copic markers… and this design goes to show that even a designer’s tools can use a makeover every now and then. The new style is a stripped down, slimmer version in matte black that feels and looks a bit more serious. Instead of a duel-tip, this one features a single broad tip to fit snugly into a nifty pocketable case. Designer: Ole Bruun ----------
Posted: 13 Oct 2011 12:01 AM PDT I really appreciate that I live in a city where people would rather ride their bike, roller-blade, or skateboard than drive a car… but I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve seen people almost get run over! Especially at night. Sure bikes have lights and reflectors but what about skateboards and longboards? Introducing the HAL longboard light… HAL attaches to the underside of the skateboard or longboard between the truck and deck to signal the rider’s presence. Designer: Marc Graells ----------
Posted: 13 Oct 2011 12:01 AM PDT This ultra-modern proposal for an urban stadium looks like something outta this world! Radiant curves, sleek lines, and the structure’s material combination of stainless steel, carbon fiber, and concrete create a remarkable contrast to the stadium’s placement in a natural coastal setting. Situated just outside Seoul, the venue would host year-round sports and events for local communities. A bit alien, but I’m liking it! Designer: Michael Arellanes ----------
