Rotation Water Therapy

Posted: 13 Apr 2011 08:16 AM PDT

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see the Disambigua – Unambiguous, is roast meat! The reason behind it is simple, the way you need to keep rotating the meat on a skewer for uniform cooking, likewise rotate this concept for uniform cleansing. One turn it's a bathtub, another turn and it's a washbasin. Now this is what I call a complete wash!

Enlighten Chair

Posted: 13 Apr 2011 08:15 AM PDT

You don't need to sit under the Bodhi Tree to attain enlightenment. Sitting on the Hidden Lights Chair may suffice. It provides you more than the proverbial halo, so be sure you make the most of it. A simple swing of the frame makes all the difference between darkness and light! So choose your reading material carefully!

Serendipity in Social Networking

Posted: 13 Apr 2011 08:05 AM PDT

Inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. For designer Hoang Nguyen, it came from Orwell’s “1984″. He noticed similarities with modern social networking. Abstractly, we can use a social network like Facebook in a "big brother" type of way. Question is, is there a way for surveillancing to be experienced equally? Would we all be jaded and freely living socially? Hit the jump and watch the video. Thoughts?

Do It Your Damn Self

Posted: 13 Apr 2011 12:03 AM PDT

Lately, I’ve been on the lookout for flat-pack and DIY designs that aren’t so obviously DIY or flat-pack. Alternatively, the PrimO chair by Petyo Ivanov Denev offers no excuses or apologies for it’s bare-bones, self-assembled style… and it’s still rad.  This multipurpose chair maximizes the efficiency of production, transportation, storage, and price with it’s 18mm thin plywood flat-pack design that you can put together yourself, because after all… you’re a big kid now. My new favorite expression: DIYDS.

Eco-Decor

Posted: 13 Apr 2011 12:02 AM PDT

These wall covering panels by WallArt are made out of bagasse, the fibrous residue of sugarcane, making them 100% recycled, compostable, and completely biodegradable. Every year more than 1 billion metric tons of sugarcane are collected for raw sugar. With up to 3 harvests per year, it is one of the most renewable sources available. The first to introduce this technology to the wall-decor market, WallArt provides an eco-friendly 3d effect that’s sure to sweeten any space.

Tactile Green Heater

Posted: 13 Apr 2011 12:01 AM PDT

This design by Younes Duret takes inspiration from Eastern oriental graphics and the traditional Moroccan hearth to create a transportable and calming space heater. Canoon relieves tension by heating compact cherry pit-filled pillows that can be applied to any part of the body to ease pain and provide comfort. The unit is composed entirely of recycled plastic, uses less energy than the average space heater, and is easily controlled by a simple stroke of the hand on it’s top or lower components which vary in color between turquoise and red to indicate the units temperature.
