Posted: 09 Aug 2011 02:20 AM PDT The HiLo is quite an interesting concept; it is a 10" OLED Tablet with a wireless felt keyboard. Now the thing about the keyboard is that it's styled as a jacket to hold the tablet. At the same time it features fused (hot pressed – embedded circuitry) keys on the outside. Naturally, you use the keyboard as desired, however I'm getting a kick out of the casual interaction between the protective jacket and the tablet. It's just too awesome! Posted: 09 Aug 2011 01:46 AM PDT Love me this industrious looking espresso machine. Aptly called the Kansas, it's the labor of love of young Shenkar student Yotam Cohen. Details like a rim-bar to hold extra cups and the pressure gauge to regulate the steam, add to the retro appeal. Easy to use, and like Yotam claims, "a coffee machine that puts a smile on your face when you wake up in the morning." Something different, something with character! Posted: 09 Aug 2011 12:01 AM PDT It’s about time there is a little equality in the baby stroller market! The Porsche Design P’4911 blends a unique mix of materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum, leather, ball-bearing wheels, into this tough looking design that is, to say the least, quite masculine (man growl). The minimal design folds compact enough to fit into the trunk of any Porsche. Designer: Dawid Dawod ---------- |
Posted: 09 Aug 2011 12:01 AM PDT This unique hardware by designer Benjamin Parton provides a functionally simplistic and attractive way to join a variety of materials. The Escher Joint secures surfaces in an elegant tripodal arrangement and can be used in a combination of materials to create both open and closed bespoke structures. Alternatively, the Lumber Lock provides accurate square holes for using square pegs in sheet material ensuring the perfect fit each time and providing a functional alternative to wasteful sectional dowling. Posted: 09 Aug 2011 12:01 AM PDT Using the same lenticular printing technology as many image-shifting postcards and “wiggle pictures,” the AM/PM Wall Clock by Studio Dreimann allows the viewer to read both AM and PM times by simply changing their viewing perspective. It may look like the most simple of clocks from a direct front view, but take a few steps to the side and with an illusion of depth you’ll see the numbers almost magically change to PM Designer: Studio Dreimann ---------- |
