Building on this idea, designers Hong Ruei-Hong & Lin Pin-I came up with the idea to integrate exercise with taking a shower. I like the idea of this Bana Bender mix, especially for those folks who always look for an excuse to stay away from the gym. You don't even need to include an extra 5 minutes or something…. just pump your arms while you bathe! The over-sized shower nozzle is a piece of elastic, bendable device. Holding the handles on both sides of the "Bana Bender", you can work on your upper-body and take a shower at the same time. Designers: Hong Ruei-Hong & called Lin Pin-I ----------        |

| Posted: 26 Aug 2011 12:22 AM PDT Kettle and Mug is an interesting concept that explores the relationship between two objects related by function. It stands to reason if you own a kettle, you probably own a mug too. In this concept, the mug sits inside the kettle as the water boils “heating the mug” in the process. Question is, doesn’t that leave the mug insanely hot to touch? I like this concept even though I don’t full comprehend the ergonomics behind it. Refine it a bit more and I think my interest can move from intrigue to buyer. Designer: Ziv Lichi ----------     |

Some believe President Thomas Jefferson used the first modern fore runner and others have pointed to more archaic forms that vaguely look like the modern hanger. We’ve seen some novel improvements since then. The Split Hanger continues to improve on this simply by enabling you to fold the hanger making it easier to slip in/out without stretching out the collar. | Posted: 26 Aug 2011 12:02 AM PDT Designed as a getaway from the hustle of the city, this minimal “Bungaloo” design by Paul Cremoux has a stripped-down feel that leaves little to be desired. A blend of low-carbon concrete, interesting textures, and beau-coups of natural sunlight compliment its raw aesthetic. Using eco-friendly materials and appliances run on methane discharges, the bungalow’s CO2 footprint is calculated to be a mere 1 ton during production and 400 kilograms per year. To further reduce its carbon footprint, temperature control is achieved by a geothermal pipe that runs through the ground connecting directly into the concrete shell. To supplement power to its 2 independent motors located in each wheel, the body is covered in a top layer of piezolectric material that converts compression strength into electricity and a second layer of Halite fiber that converts human heat. The Box Lounger may look like little more than a funky design with a retro feel but it’s actually quite functional. The inside is fitted with super-soft, comfy cushioning that also happens to be great at absorbing sounds, making it the perfect “mini-office” for making phone calls, working on a laptop, or just relaxing.
